I've always been drawn to owls and the barn owl especially. I just can't get over the beauty of their heart shaped face and their cream and rusty colored plumage. They have silly long legs that help them hunt in long grasses and uneven ears so that they can locate prey. Amazing creatures!! They are declining in population due to habitat loss. I have yet to see one in the wild it will happen some day.
**NOTE**This painting is on lightweight sketchbook paper and has imperfections such as stray pencil marks, drips or slight buckling that add to their character.
